Please i need someone to help me with the procedure to calculate Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria admission aggregate score/point. I applied to study MBBS but was not offered admission. My JAMB score was pretty high at 274 but was denied admission.
Has it got anything to do with my POST-UTME score?
I am currently a student in ABU, Zaria. From what i know, the aggregate point or score is calculated as follows:
ABU Post UTME initial score is 100. Multiply this score by 4 to get the final Post UTME score which should be 400.
Add your JAMB score and the Post UTME score together and then divide the result by 2.
The final result is your aggregate score
Example
If you scored 70 out of the 100 score in the Post UTME, your score will be 70 x 4 = 280
Assuming you scored 320 in your JAMB.
Your ABU admission aggregate point should be
[(Post UTME x 4) + JAMB] / 2 = Aggregate score
[(70 x 4) + 320) / 2 = (280+320) / 2 = 600/2 = 300
Your aggregate score or point will be 300.
The cut off mark of the department you are applying to is also a key factor to take note of.
