Nigeria at 61: Police assures Bauchi residents of maximum security

The Bauchi State Police Command has assured the people of the state of their maximum security as the state joins others to celebrate Nigeria’s 61st Independence anniversary.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, gave the assurance in a press release he signed and made available to DAILY POST in Bauchi.

Wakil, a Superintendent of Police (SP), said the Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, had put in place crime preventive measures with a view to nipping all forms of crime and criminality in the bud in the state.

“The Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, CP Abiodun S. Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc has assured the people of Bauchi State maximum security as the nation marks its 61st Independence Anniversary on Friday, 1st October, 2021.

“Consequently, the Command has put in place crime preventive measures in partnership with sister security agencies and other non-governmental organizations in order to nip in the bud all forms of crime and criminality and also to flush out criminals from their hideouts in the state.

“The Command congratulates His Excellency, Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, (Kauran Bauchi) the Executive Governor of Bauchi State and the entire people of the state, on the occasion of the Independence Anniversary celebration,” he stated.

The police image maker further stated that CP Alabi urged citizens of the state to celebrate peacefully and be law abiding.

He also called for people’s cooperation with the police and other security agencies in order to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the state.

“The Commissioner of Police, therefore, called on citizens of the state to go about the celebrations in the most peaceful and law abiding manner.

“He further enjoined the citizenry to continue to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies in the course of ensuring peaceful atmosphere in Bauchi State.”
